Meditation - Journeying Inward to Spirit
Meditation has a positive impact on our minds, bodies, and spirits. The health benefits are documented to help stress, anxiety, cognitive function and as well as impact blood pressure, stress hormone levels, ease inflammation and decrease pain. The spiritual benefits include feeling more connected to self, increased compassion, and developing a sense of connectedness to others. In this class we will explore meditation from a variety of traditions bringing mind, body, and spirit together to create new states of consciousness. Moving inward through meditation we are able to change our internal landscape which helps build a foundation that can support lasting change and states of peacefulness and calm. Stilling the mind, we are given opportunities to connect to our internal wisdom which helps to guide our daily life. We are able to connect deeply to ourselves and to heal parts of ourselves that need love, compassion, and guidance. Cultivating a new consciousness builds our connection to our own spirit and to the Divine.
