I have rarely fit neatly into any single place.
Much of my life has unfolded at the edges of many different worlds and I find myself the continual outsider. For many years I tried to solve that.
Over time I came to understand that this position carries its own vantage point. From the edges you start to see patterns and connections that are harder to notice from the center.
My path has taken me through several worlds that do not usually sit side by side. They have taught me to hold multiple concepts, frameworks, emotions, and perspectives at once, while also seeing people within the social and relational contexts that shape their lives.
The edge has taught me the art and science of being a companion attuned to the person in front of me, guiding & following at the same time.
It is so special to witness when clients turn toward something they would have pushed past before. A whisper they would have suppressed. A feeling they would have rushed to fix.
Imagine - you feeling spaciousness and curious, meeting yourself without the urgency to fix or control, and how this simple yet profound act done again and again has the power to expand your capacity for life - the challenges and the wonder.
